Ausom Leopard Off-Road Electric Scooter I just added the Ausom Leopard Electric Scooter to my collection. I fell in love with its off-road versatility and speed. Best of all, if you have days where your legs are tired, it comes with a free seat. Below, I will give you my review and tell you what I like, my pet peeves with this new scooter, and why its the best off-roading scooter for under 1000 dollars. Great Suspension I will tell you that I have run so many bumps, and gone off-roading with the scooter, and haven't had the feeling of bumping something on the road and losing balance. The Ausom leopard has dual spring suspension, meaning it has in front and rear. Bright Lights and Great Turning Signals If you are riding in the dark rest assure you will be seen as the lights are very bright and powerful. Compared to my other scooters, I can see the path ahead of me clearly and without feeling blinded by the darkness. However, drivers will hate you as it looks like you have high beams on. Furthermore, it has great directional lights that help you signal to drivers which way you are going helping prevent accidents or letting drivers second guess where you are heading. Great Speed For The Price The manufacturer states it can go up to 34 miles per hour, however, it depends on weight capacity, I weigh 236 so the most speed I have gotten is 29-30 miles which is impressive. However, I assure you a lighter-weight person will go much faster. It has 3 modes 1-3, 1 gives you up to 8MPH, 2 Gives you up to 22MPH, and 3 gives you up to 34MPH(remember depends on your weight). Great Off-Road Capabilities The Ausom Leopard doesn't severely slow down while you go on grad, or dirt, sand, or debris. Of course, it's not a Jeep Wrangler so don't go on steep rocky hills or trails or you will break it. I have run against gravel, dirt, and grass and haven't slowed down or gotten knocked off yet, it's been a thrilling ride and will keep testing its capabilities. 1000 Watt Motor For a scooter that at the time of writing this blog is 700 dollars, and has a very powerful motor. When going uphill it doesn't slow down severely to the point you have to get off and walk the hill like my ISINWheel S10 Pro. This is why I have fallen in love with the adventures, I currently go on with this scooter. Cruise Control This scooter compared to my INOKIM OX has cruise control which takes the pressure of having a sore or tired thumb when driving. Just hold the throttle for 5 seconds and the cruise control activates after setting it up. Its nice so when you do long distance commute. Dual Brake Discs This electric scooter has both front and rear brake discs helping you stop smoothly, and come to a complete stop when you are in an emergency that requires breaking. I have tested it out and they work perfectly. Nice Comfortable Free Seat Included For those that have been riding for months or years know there are days where your feet or legs are tired, sore, or have pain in general. The seat is detachable and adjustable letting you lay off the pressure from your feet and legs if making a long commute, or don't feel like standing. The seat is also wide for people who get tailbone pain when riding on a normal bike seat like me. Now to the two pet peeves I have with this electric scooter. Fast Battery Depletion On Higher settings It says on the website it does 52 miles however, at the time of writing if you use it on levels 2-3 it only does 26-31 miles of range. But I don't care because the rest of the features and off-roading capabilities are Ausom (see what I did there). Severely Loud Horn Before you guys yell at me, this is only a pet peeve if you are in an unfriendly neighborhood. Really, this horn sounds like an air horn going off scaring people. Some people will curse you out or try knocking you off in bad areas, but other than that some people love it amke the truck horn signals so you can sound the horns. This was my review of the Ausom Leopard electric scooter. At the time of writing, it is 700 dollars and a great value for its features and capabilities. It is envisioned as a technology-filled electric bike with good performance like a pesky flea in one of your furry friends. Below, I will give you the history, overview, and details of the Flying Flea. History: During the Second World War, the British designed a lightweight motorcycle that could be parachuted into the battlefield for the British War Office by Royal Enfield, which was why it was known as the Royal Enfield WD, later nicknamed the Flying Flea. Not only can it be parachuted, but also be carried by Gliders due to its lightweight nature. It was used on the battlefield to transport messages between assault troops and air troops. The motorcycles were also fitted with issued headlamps to provide stealth from enemy aircraft. However, after many unsuccessful tests due to damage sustained from landing, only a few were deployed to the battlefield. They were used in beach landings between 1943 and 1944 to communicate between troops on shorelines. Only a few Royal Enfield WD/RE remained in service until the end of the 1940's. However, postwar there was a huge demand for cheap lightweight motorcycles, so Royal Enfield put their surplus to good use by modifying them down for civilian use and repainting any of their surplus stocks. After mastering my balancing and ability to share the road with other vehicles, I upgraded from the ISINWheel to INOKIM. This electric scooter has a top speed of 27 miles which is wicked fast for its price range, and has one of the best suspensions ever. Below I will give my review, the pros, and the cons. Let us start with the pros. PROS Goes up to 27 MPH I'm used to scooters that on sports mode go only up to 12-18mph. Not the INOKIM OX, every time I hit a downhill at 27 miles an hour my adrenaline starts pumping. Also, car drivers get surprised when you pass them while they go the 25-speed limit on roads. Dual Suspension Hitting bumps or traveling through urban uneven roads that are bumpy feel light, and have a less chance of being knocked over. Anyone who lives in a major city knows that sidewalks and bike lanes have bumps and cracks that never get fixed. However, with the dual suspension, you have a smooth ride. Bright Lights Surprisingly the lights are bright and are underneath. This makes it good when traveling in the dark. I felt safer knowing the brake lights work alerting the drivers when I'm slowing down, and at night when hitting the trails, I can see the road ahead. Light Offroading Capabilities When I go on grass or light rocky pavement, the scooter doesn't shake violently, or feel like you're going to get knocked over. I went on grass, dirt, and light snow without any hiccups. This does not mean to go and treat the scooter like a Jeep Wrangler. Beautiful Aesthetics If you add a seat it will feel like a motorcycle due to the design. The aesthetics are beautiful from the aerodynamic design to the line work. I haven't seen a scooter that looks beautiful like a new vehicle like the INKIM OX. Good Uphill Speed Control When you go uphill unlike other scooters there's no dramatic speed drop. Like my ISINWheel that drops to 7-8mph on an uphill, the INOKIM OX only drops from 27 to 15mph on level 3 and drops from 19mph to 14mph on level 2. Dual Brakes The INOKIM OX has front drum brakes and rear disc brakes giving it high stopping power when you have to stop or miscalculate a downhill. If you are an expert you can also drift with this scooter. Now let us discuss the cons, which are my complaints but may not be an issue for you guys. CONS No directional signaling lights. Unlike other cheaper varieties, it has no directional turning signal lights compared to other brands like ISINWheel. Bland odometer screen Unlike other brands, the Odometer is bland and doesn't look modern like other scooters. but for the speed who cares? Parts are Expensive INOKIM is the BMW of electric scooters, tires are around 100 dollars, and accessories at the time of writing are 50 dollars for travel bags and add-ons. Results These were my pros and cons while adventuring on the INOKIM OX, once I get bored of it I will upgrade to the INOKIM OXO and leave a review. RANGE: After testing it on the trails and my commute to work, I can confirm at moderate speeds it will give you 35 miles. On moderate speed which takes out the fun when you are trying to reach the maximum of 21 miles an hour. DRUM BRAKES: The Drum brakes make it easy to break when you feel you are losing control, or need to slow down when something pops up or to make a stop sign. It is the smoothest brakes I've encountered on any electric scooter. CONS SHORT BATTERY SPAN WHEN ON MAX MODE: The battery only lasted 15 miles when I ran with maximum settings, which means less time for me to have fun when riding. NO OFFROAD: If you touch grass or a non-smooth pavement you run the risk of slowing severely or falling as it's not capable of any type of offroading. SLOW UPHILL TRAVEL: If you encounter a hill or an uproad, you will feel your electric scooter start to drag below 10 miles making it hard to balance, as well as slowing down your speed and exerting the scooter motor. Results Overall, I will rate the ISINWHEEL S10 Plus an 8/10 for adrenaline fun. It has small defects that can frustrate you, but overall, it is the best bang for your buck when on a budget. Giving the right of way to pedestrians makes riding smoother and less dangerous, as it helps avoid crashing into people, animals, or even worse, children. Trust me, pray you have insurance if you hit a pedestrian because you will never see cash in your wallet for years to come. 2: Yield To Vehicles On The Road I reiterate this because there are lots of scooters crashing into vehicles, and vehicles crashing into scooters. Stay to the right or bike lane when riding your electric scooter, not in the middle of the road. Follow rules as you would when riding a car, and don't break traffic laws. Which brings me to the next one. 3: Obey Traffic Laws Just like when driving, or riding a bike obey traffic laws such as stopping at stop signs, stopping at red lights, and not driving on sidewalks depending on the state. Following these rules will keep you safe, and stop the process of government from taking action to regulate or ban scooters. 4: Do Not Ride On Other Peoples Properties Respect private property and respect owners, do not drive on people's grass, or on their driveway. Think about this with common sense, do you want other people to drive on your property, or to see a stranger outside your house? 5: Finally, Turn On Your Lights At Night If you can't see in darkness without light so will people, and vehicles. Most Electric Scooters come with lights, so when it's dark turn them on. This helps others see you at night, preventing a crash with a vehicle or a pedestrian, and most importantly preventing you from getting hurt. Follow these rules to the teeth, and not only will it keep you safe, but others too. As riders we must be courteous and not only protect ourselves, but others.

So I prepared the lesson below based on my experience, and from all the falls I had. 1: Speed Is Your Friend, Also Don't Brake with Your Foot Just like riding a bicycle, the physics of both is you will fall if you don't have speed. Speed keeps you centered, so have a speed that keeps you centered. when slowing down, only put your foot down when you come to a stop. Trust me my ankle hurt for 2 weeks after I tried using my foot as brakes. 2: Slow Down When Turning, Don't Ego Speed A Curve When riding into a round or sharp curve, slow down. Do not assume you're on a Fast and Furious movie and start to speed up through the curve. Know when to slow down and lightly take the turn. If you speed through it, it's hard to turn making the turn wider. Think of it like a car if the sign in curve says 20 miles to ride the curve, will you drive it at 60 miles. If your answer is no, then don't do it. 3: Do Not Go Off-Road If It Is Not An Off-Road Scooter My third crash happened when I went off-trail trying to take my scooter off the road. This caused me to fly off my scooter when I hit a small rock stuck to the ground, and as you could have guessed my scooter, didn't go over the rock it came to a halt. The moral of the story is if your scooter doesn't say it's for off-road, stay on an urban road. 4: Be Aware Of Bumps, and Pot Holes Just like when driving a car you don't want damage from hitting a pothole, same with a scooter. But hey, that's my preference others may not care for the vibration. SKINNY FRAME: The skinny frame makes it harder to balance making it not good for a beginner scooter. But, like I said before those who ride often don't care for the skinny frame, especially like me who rides razor scooters when I was little. LOW LIGHT: At night when. driving in the dark the lights barely light up what's in front of you, so if you cruise at night use caution. Results Overall outweighing the cons, I rate this scooter a 9.2/10. It's fast in my eyes, and it has a lot of features that most electric scooters in the price range of 600 would have.
